Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has promised traders at the Uwelu Spare Parts Market in Benin City a ₦100 million business grant.

The governor made the announcement during a visit to the market on Friday.

Okpebholo also promised to reconstruct the Uwasota-Uwelu Road and intervene in the condition of a secondary school in the area.

He advised the traders to form a cooperative society to enable them to access the proposed grant.

The governor said the support would be provided before December 2026 and promised to return to the area to inspect the commencement of road works.

During the visit, Okpebholo also attributed some of the development projects being carried out by his administration to financial support from President Bola Tinubu.

He described Tinubu as the right leader to take Nigeria in the right direction.
