Hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure, is one of the leading causes of heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure worldwide, and sadly, many people don’t even know they have it. In Nigeria, the rate of undiagnosed and untreated hypertension continues to rise, especially in urban and semi-urban areas.
To combat this health crisis, leaders and health advocates have launched the #BPChallenge, a nationwide movement encouraging Nigerians to check their blood pressure regularly and spread awareness within their communities.
