The operation, carried out by security agencies following credible intelligence reports, uncovered disturbing evidence that has shocked residents of the community.
According to officials, security operatives discovered the decomposed body of a gateman inside one of the affected properties during a search of the premises. Investigators also identified another building in the area that was allegedly being used as a centre for cult-related activities and initiation ceremonies.
Several items believed to be connected to criminal operations were recovered during the raid. These included machetes, battle axes, native pots, laptops, suspicious ritual materials, and various documents that are now being examined by investigators.
Authorities described the discovery as a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating within the state. The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring that individuals involved in violent crimes, cultism, and other illegal activities are brought to justice.
