Job Summary:

The Anesthetist Nurse will work closely with physicians or anesthesiologists to provide anesthesia care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment and support throughout the perioperative period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and patient assessments

• Administer anesthesia and manage patient care during surgery

• Monitor patient responses and apply corrective actions when necessary

• Provide patient education and post-operative support

• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare staff

• Maintain anesthesia equipment and inventory

• Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• Certified Nurse Anesthetist qualification recognized by the Nursing Council

• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience

• Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Sound knowledge of safety, injection control, and nurse practice regulations
