GritinAI Connect 2.0 is holding today, Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City, Edo State.

The one-day conference is focused on the practical use of artificial intelligence across governance, education, healthcare, agriculture and small businesses.

Organizers say the event is expected to bring together students, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers and investors.

The program includes keynote sessions, workshops, panel discussions, startup presentations and networking sessions.

One of the keynote speakers is Olamide Efosa, who is scheduled to speak on the role of artificial intelligence in economic growth and entrepreneurship.

Mary Okonkwo is also listed as a keynote speaker, with a session focused on using AI to create career opportunities for young Africans.

The conference program also includes discussions on AI adoption by businesses, public sector transformation and the use of technology to improve service delivery.

Organizers say participants will also have access to practical sessions aimed at showing businesses and individuals how AI tools can be applied to everyday operations.

GritinAI said more than 1,500 participants are expected at this year’s event.

The conference follows the first edition held in Benin City in September 2025, which brought together researchers, technology professionals and policymakers for discussions on artificial intelligence and digital development.

Pre-conference activities for the 2026 edition have included technology training programmes, an AI hackathon and skills development initiatives.

The hackathon challenged participants to develop AI-based solutions for problems in healthcare, agriculture, education and governance, with cash prizes announced for winning teams.

GritinAI said this year’s conference is intended to move discussions around artificial intelligence from general awareness towards practical implementation in businesses, government institutions and communities.

The organization has also identified workforce development as one of the major areas of focus, with sessions designed for students and professionals seeking careers in artificial intelligence and related technology fields.

The event holds at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City throughout Saturday.
