NNPC/TotalEnergies Scholarship 2025: Federal Oil Giants Open Fully Funded Window for 100 & 200 Level Students

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) and TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Ltd have opened applications for their 2024/2025 National Merit Scholarship Scheme, offering full academic funding to deserving students in public universities across the country.

This scholarship program is designed to ease the financial burden for young Nigerians who are working hard to build a better future through education. It’s open to students from all disciplines, provided they meet a few key requirements.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled full-time in a Nigerian university accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

  • Be in 100 or 200 level at the time of applying.

  • Have scored 200 or above in their UTME.

The scholarship is not open to students who are already on similar financial aid from other oil and gas companies, or those in 300 level and above. Also, 200 level students applying must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale.

How to Apply

The application process is online only. No physical submission is allowed.

To apply, visit:

🗓️ Deadline: July 1, 2025

Make sure to complete the form accurately, and choose a test center close to your location if you’re shortlisted.

What Happens After You Apply?

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a computer-based test, which will take place at various centers across Nigeria. It’s important to note that you’ll be responsible for your own transportation to the test venue.

Only those who pass the selection stage will receive the scholarship, which covers the entire duration of their degree program, starting from the year of award.

A Partnership That Supports Education

This scholarship is made possible through a joint effort between NNPC and TotalEnergies, in collaboration with partners such as CNOOC, SAPETRO, and Meren Energy. It’s one of the most reliable scholarship schemes for Nigerian undergraduates and has helped thousands of students stay in school over the years.
