Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has redeployed four commissioners to new ministries in a minor cabinet reshuffle.
The redeployment was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The state government said the reshuffle was aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery and promoting efficiency in the management of state affairs.
The affected commissioners and their new portfolios are:
Dr. Felix Ehiguese Akhabue has been moved from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been redeployed from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to the Ministry of Water Resources.
Andrew Momodu has moved from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources.
Prof. Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa has been redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The redeployment takes immediate effect, according to the statement.
Governor Okpebholo urged the affected commissioners to bring their experience and expertise to bear in their new ministries and remain committed to the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the development of Edo State.
The latest move affects four ministries and changes the portfolios of the commissioners overseeing them.
