Edo State Government Announces Date for September 2026 Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The Edo State Government has announced that the September 2026 monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold on Saturday, September 26, across the state.

According to the announcement, the exercise will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Residents have been urged to take part by cleaning their homes and surroundings, clearing drainage channels and ensuring that waste is properly disposed of in line with environmental sanitation regulations.

The government also clarified that there will be no restriction of movement during the exercise.

Residents are therefore expected to go about legitimate activities where necessary while still participating in efforts to keep their communities clean.

The state government said the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to improve environmental cleanliness, reduce blocked drains and promote healthier communities across Edo State.

Residents, business owners and other members of the public have been encouraged to cooperate fully and maintain clean surroundings beyond the official sanitation period.

The September sanitation exercise will end at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
