The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has officially opened its recruitment portal for 2025. The nationwide recruitment drive spans four key paramilitary agencies:

  • Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)

  • Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)

  • Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS)

  • Federal Fire Service (FFS)

Interested applicants can now submit their applications via the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.org.

This federal recruitment initiative is aimed at strengthening national security, improving emergency response capacity, and creating employment opportunities for eligible Nigerian citizens.

Which Agencies Are Hiring?

The current recruitment exercise covers full-time job opportunities in the following federal security and safety agencies:

  1. NSCDC – Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps

  2. NIS – Nigeria Immigration Service

  3. NCoS – Nigerian Correctional Service

  4. FFS – Federal Fire Service

Applicants are allowed to apply to only one agency. Submitting multiple applications across different services will lead to disqualification.

Available Categories and Positions

Vacancies are open across three major cadres, each with its own qualification requirements:

▶ Superintendent Cadre (Category A)

For candidates with any of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • HND

  • MBBS

  • Degrees in Law or Engineering

Job titles in this category include:

  • Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09)

  • Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08)

  • Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 02)

▶ Inspectorate Cadre (Category B)

For:

  • ND or NCE holders

  • Registered Nurses and Midwives

Positions include:

  • Inspector of Corps (CONHESS 06)

  • Assistant Inspector of Corps (CONPASS 06)

▶ Assistant Cadre (Category C)

For candidates with:

  • SSCE, WAEC, NECO, or GCE

Roles include:

  • Assistant Cadre II (CONPASS 04) – General duties

  • Assistant Cadre III (CONPASS 03) – Drivers, artisans, and appliance operators

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for the Federal Government 2025 paramilitary recruitment, candidates must:

  • Be Nigerian by birth

  • Be between 18 and 35 years of age

  • Meet minimum physical standards:

    • Height: 1.65m for men, 1.60m for women

    • Chest: 0.87m minimum (men only)

  • Be medically and physically fit (with a certificate from a government hospital)

  • Have no criminal record or financial misconduct history

  • Possess basic computer skills (advantageous but not mandatory)

How to Apply for CDCFIB Recruitment 2025

Follow the instructions below to apply:

  2. Choose your preferred paramilitary agency

  3. Fill in your personal, academic, and biometric details

  4. Upload all required credentials and documents

  5. Review your entries for accuracy

  6. Submit your application and print the confirmation slip

Applicants are strongly advised to double-check all information and upload the correct files before submission.

Important Reminders

  • Do not apply to more than one agency

  • Do not pay anyone — the application process is entirely free

  • Ensure your documents are authentic and up to date

  • Applications will be accepted for three weeks only

  • Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via SMS and email for the next phase, which may include screening and computer-based tests

1. Is the CDCFIB recruitment 2025 application form free?

Yes, the application is 100% free of charge. The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has warned applicants not to pay anyone or use unofficial agents.

3. Can I apply for more than one agency?

4. What documents do I need to apply?

You’ll need:

  • A recent passport photograph

  • Educational certificates (SSCE, ND, HND, BSc, or MBBS depending on the role)

  • Certificate of origin

  • Birth certificate or age declaration

  • A Medical Fitness Certificate from a government hospital

5. What is the age requirement?

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of application.

6. Are there physical and medical requirements?

Yes. Applicants must:

  • Be physically and mentally fit

  • Meet height and chest requirements:

    • 1.65m (males) / 1.60m (females)

    • Chest measurement of at least 0.87m for males

  • Present a valid Medical Fitness Certificate

7. How long will the application remain open?

The recruitment portal will remain open for three weeks from the start date. Applicants are encouraged to apply early.

8. Will I be notified after submitting my application?

Yes. Once you complete and submit your application successfully, you’ll receive a confirmation slip. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for the next phase of screening or tests via SMS or email.

9. What happens after the application?

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for:

  • Document verification

  • Physical fitness screening

  • Aptitude test (possibly computer-based)
    Final selections will be made based on merit and verification outcomes.
