Governor Okpebholo Orders Arrest of NBM President Ese Kakor Over Alleged Forgery of official document.

The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has formally requested the immediate arrest and prosecution of Olorogun Ese Kakor, the current President of the Neo Black Movement (NBM) of Africa. The call was made in a petition addressed to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Ajayi.

According to the governor, Ese Kakor allegedly forged official state documents, falsely presenting them as endorsements from the Edo State Government. These documents reportedly claimed that Kakor had been authorized to offer support to schools across the Edo South Senatorial District — a claim the state says is completely unfounded and criminal.

Governor Okpebholo described the incident as a blatant act of deception and an attack on the credibility of the state’s administrative systems. He noted that the forgery was not carried out in isolation, but with the help of certain junior civil servants within the state government. These individuals, according to the Governor, have already been apprehended and are currently under police investigation.

“Such fraudulent actions cannot go unchecked,” the Governor stated. “We must preserve the integrity of our government institutions and ensure that anyone found culpable faces the full weight of the law.”

In a further development, the governor announced the revocation of the land title on which the NBM headquarters is built in Edo State. He linked the move to what he described as the organization’s alleged involvement in violent activities and other unlawful operations within the state.

Governor Okpebholo also called on security agencies to increase their vigilance and clamp down on any group suspected of criminal activities. He emphasized that the state would no longer tolerate any form of lawlessness or manipulation of public trust.

This latest move by the Edo State Government signals a strong stance against forgery, impersonation, and criminal associations under the guise of social or civic engagement. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
