Auchi Ambassador Umanu Elijah hosts a transformative summit on teen mentoring hosted by Tudi Africa.
In Auchi, Edo State, Tudi Africa recently organized a summit on adolescent mentoring that brought together secondary school kids from three Etsako extraction local government areas. The goal of the summit, which had as its theme “Educate, Empower, and Entertain” and its tagline “Etsako must shine,” was to motivate, educate, and enable youngsters to achieve academic and social success.
The event, which was the first of its type in Edo North, gave the students a chance to demonstrate their abilities and expertise on current local issues. Quizzes, discussions, humor, dance, and music were all included. Human rights activist Harrison Gwaminshu, one of the event’s guest speakers, told his own tale of overcoming hardship.
Recounting his imprisonment, he said, “My time in prison gave me insight into the struggles of life and the strength it takes to rise above injustice. That pain shaped my purpose.” His story resonated deeply with his audience, igniting hope and determination among the students.
Mr. Chike, a teacher and adolescent influencer; Mrs. Amidat Ilegar, a serial entrepreneur and CEO of Towa Enterprises; Dr. Momoh Emoshoke, a physician; and Rt. Hon. Fawaz Muhammad, the Speaker of the Edo State Youth Parliament, were among the other guest speakers.
As they spoke passionately about the value of education in removing barriers and creating a better future, the guest speakers united in their encouragement of the teenagers to embrace hard work, discipline, and leadership. The historic event gave young kids a chance to show off their skills through debates and other stage performances, making it engaging and eye-opening.
In addition to providing entertainment, these activities promoted self-assurance and intellectual development. Participants were encouraging one another and getting motivation from their colleagues, creating an electrifying atmosphere in the hall.
The convener and founder of Tudi Africa, Ambassador Umanu Elijah expresss his joy at the turnout and enthusiasm of the participants, stating that the program aims to “plant seeds of greatness” in the youth and inspire them to believe in their abilities.
Meanwhile, during the event, Elijah gave out several gift items including Laptops, wads of cash, bags of rice, sanitary pads for all female students in attendance
