Suppected Political Thugs Storm Edo State High Court, Disrupt Governorship Election Tribunal
In an attempt to disrupt the pre-hearing session on the validity of the September 21 governorship election results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), thugs stormed the Edo State High Court in Benin.
Outside the courtroom, supporters of seven political parties challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were attacked by unidentified individuals.
Security personnel quickly blocked the court entrance and erected a roadblock along the route leading to the court.
