The RHI food outreach program started on March 8, 2024, and has so far helped seven states: Kano, Benue, Nassarawa, Ekiti, Cross Rivers, Gombe, and Edo States. Kwara, Kogi, and Abia States will be the next states to benefit.
Okpebholo praised RHI Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman, for her maternal role and affection in making sure that Nigerians benefit from democracy. He stated that without President Tinubu’s backing, the first lady’s effort would not have succeeded, which is why he made the guarantee.
Okpebholo said “We are happy in Edo State as the people are beginning to see and enjoy a new dawn. Look at food items all over the place in this hall, all thanks to the president and wife for this great initiative that Edo people are benefitting from today.”
“We are assuring you Mr. President of our 100 percent votes in the State come 2027.presidential election and if possible we will give you more than 100 percent”.
On her part, Mrs Tinubu said the food outreach commenced in March 2024 as seven States have benefited while three other states will follow soon.
Represented by the wife of the Vice President of Nigeria Hajia Nana Shettima, she said the initiative has made significant progress in supporting women and youths for the betterment of their lives and advised beneficiaries not to sell the food items but make good use of the items for the benefits of their families.
“We have been able to distribute food items to seven states across Nigeria.”
“Since 2023, the RHI have made significant progress in efforts to support our people, particularly women and youths for a better life. Under this initiative there will be more activities this year that covers education, health, economic empowerment, social Investment and agriculture. These programs aim to further complement the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu’s administration”.
