President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was praised by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo for signing a bill creating the Federal University of Sports at Afuze, the Owan East Local Government headquarters.
According to him, the ruling was a turning point in the state’s efforts to increase access to high-quality postsecondary education and promote intellectual development.
Okpebholo said yesterday in Benin: “Today, we celebrate a victory for the people of Edo State.”
“The establishment of the Federal University of Sports is a testament to President Tinubu’s dedication to advancing education in Nigeria.”
“The institution will not only provide opportunities for our teeming youths, but will also serve as a catalyst for socio-economic development in our state and the nation at large.”
