Felix Osemwengie Isere, Esq., the recently appointed special advisor on oil and gas to Sen. Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo State, has pledged his commitment to serving the people of the state by carrying out his official responsibilities.
During his formal visit to the Ministry of Mining and Energy at the Secretariat Complex in Benin City, the special adviser provided the assurance. He claimed that the visit was a significant first step in his new position since it allowed him to become acquainted with the ministry’s activities and find opportunities to positively influence the state’s oil and gas sector.
In her welcoming remarks, Martina Ese Omoruyi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, expressed hope that working with him will help realize the State Government’s goals for the oil and gas industry.
The Permanent Secretary’s cordial reception and readiness to work in harmony were greatly appreciated by the S. A. Isere Esq. emphasized his dedication to serving the people of Edo State by mentioning his choice to join the Governor Okpebholo-led administration in serving the State after leaving a lucrative position in the United Kingdom. He confirmed the governor’s commitment to treating civil servants with dignity and respect.
The Special Adviser thereafter outlined his strategies for addressing challenges facing the Oil and Gas sector in the State and expressed his eagerness to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to elevate the Oil and Gas sector to greater heights.
