The revelation was made by the head of the Edo State Sports Commission on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his office while meeting with Barr. Lucky Eseigbe, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
According to Enabulele, the sports festival is in line with the administration’s sports development goal, which focuses on. He claims that the festival, which is set for April 21–May 1, 2025, will help Edo athletes get ready for the upcoming National Sports Festival, which will take place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, from May 16–30, 2025.
“It is essential to ensure that this event helps maintain our position as a sports powerhouse in the country,” Hon. Enabulele stated, highlighting the significance of organizing a memorable and high-quality sporting event.
In order to strengthen the state sports team for the Ogun Games, Hon. Enabulele was excited that the Edo State Sports Festival will identify and develop a number of outstanding talents. He pointed out that unrealized potential will be crucial to the state’s prosperity.
In order to guarantee that athletes receive the best assistance possible, Enabulele urged Barr. Eseigbe to rally support from the 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Edo State and underlined the significance of participation in the Edo State Sports Festival.
In his remarks, Commissioner Eseigbe promised Enabulele his steadfast support and promised to include all parties involved in the LGAs to make sure the sports festival was a success.
