The Edo Broadcasting Service’s (EBS) urgent needs have been addressed in a prompt manner in response to the issues raised during Governor Monday Okpebholo’s recent visit. The governor gave this issue top priority and promptly authorized the purchase of necessary equipment after realizing that the station has been left without power during power outages due to an unstable electrical supply.
EBS is pleased to announce the delivery of two brand-new generators today, 150kVA and 135kVA, which will successfully address the power supply problems that the television and radio stations are currently experiencing. In order to keep EBS running smoothly and prepared to serve the Edo community, Governor Okpebholo also revealed plans to supply solar-powered energy as a backup.
During the generator handover, Managing Director Sulaiman Aledeh expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Okpebholo for his commitment to action and his keen interest in enhancing the capabilities of the state’s media outlets. “We are thankful for your support in equipping our station and motivating our staff to meet national and global industry standards,” Aledeh remarked.
This initiative marks a significant step toward revitalising Edo Broadcasting Service, ensuring it remains a vibrant source of information and entertainment for our community.
