Following his recent departure from the Labour Party to the APC in the National Assembly, Hon. Esosa Iyawe, the member for Edo State’s Oredo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, has communicated with the leaders of APC Oredo Ward 1.
He previously joined the party at the ward level. Iyawe arrived at the APC Ward 1 Secretariat in Oredo with his hordes of former Labour Party supporters, including the party executive from the Oredo local government area, to formally announce his membership to the ward-level party leaders.
Speaking to APC leaders and members in Oredo ward 1, the lawmaker stated that he had come to the party to work with them in order to create a more powerful and cohesive APC in Oredo local government and, consequently, in the Edo South senatorial district.
He declared that it is time to bring about change and alter the APC’s story in Oredo. He also said he would support Senator Monday Okpeholo, the state governor, in his endeavors to provide for the people of Oredo. He added that with the state governor’s help, he would accomplish much more for the residents of Oredo and Edo South.
Welcoming Hon Iyawe and his followers to the party, the Oredo ward 1 chairman Felix Ehigiabe said they are excited to receive the law maker and assured them of equal rights and equal treatment. Ehigiabe thereafter presented the APC membership party card to the lawmaker .
