On the grounds of the Ministry of Health in Benin City, the Edo Traditional Medicine Board held its inaugural staff orientation program.
Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, the Commissioner for Health, praised the Board’s commitment and encouraged them to keep working, stressing that traditional medicine should be viewed as an alternative medical treatment rather than a cause for concern.
The Traditional Medicine Board’s secretary, Dr. Joy Mike Opara, had earlier thanked the Commissioner for his ongoing support and emphasized the meeting’s goal of educating new hires about their responsibilities.
The program featured a presentation using the Board’s history and its achievements, presentation of awards to dedicated members of staff with special recognition given to the Commissioner for Health and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Stanley Ehiarimwian.
