Edo SUBEB Disclaims Circulating Teachers’ Employment List
The Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has officially disowned a list currently making the rounds online, which claims to contain the names of newly recruited teachers under the board.
In a circular dated Sunday, July 20, 2025, and directed to Acting Education Secretaries, HPMs, School Leaders, and Teachers, the Executive Chairman of SUBEB stated unequivocally that the list did not originate from the board.
“I am directed to bring to the attention of the general public that a list of employment of teachers is currently circulating online, purporting to be an official list from the Board. We hereby disclaim any responsibility or authenticity of the said list,” the statement read.
The Board urged the public to disregard the list entirely, warning that it holds no official value. It also emphasized that all verified information concerning employment or recruitment will be made available only through established and credible channels.
“We want to inform the public that any list of employment or recruitment of teachers should be verified through official channels, such as the SUBEB website or direct communication with the office,” the board advised.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and accountability, SUBEB reiterated that no legitimate employment notice would be issued without prior formal communication.
“Please disregard the list in question, and be assured that we will communicate any official information regarding teachers’ employment through proper means,” it concluded.
