At the party’s state secretariat in Benin, the executives of the Ikpoba-Okha, Egor, and Ovia North-East Local Government Areas were inaugurated by Hon. Elizabeth Ativie, the chairman of the Labour Party in Edo State.
After the Oredo executives were inaugurated, there are now four local government executives in total. According to Hon. Ativie, the procedure should be finished in two weeks.
Ativie explained the activity at the Oredo executives’ inauguration as a prelude to the party’s ward congress in February 2025 and the local government congress in April 2025.
In order to help the party reach the 20 million-member goal established by the Central Working Committee and National Chairman Julius Abure, she asked the recently appointed executives to start a mass mobilization.
Additionally, Ativie urged the executives to greet returning members and make sure they felt accepted into the party. She asserts that the Labour Party continues to be Nigeria’s most popular political platform. She exhorted people to put in endless effort to advance the party.
