The immediate shutdown of Ambrose Alli University’s satellite campuses in Ekpoma has been mandated by the Edo State Government.
The government ordered that all programs and courses be held exclusively at the university’s main campus in Ekpoma in a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government Umar Ikhilor on February 11, 2025.
The statement read, “In line with Governor Monday Okpebholo’s commitment to raising the standard of Ambrose Alli University and the government’s significant investment in the institution, all satellite campuses operating outside the main campus are hereby shut down with immediate effect.”
It added that the university’s management and governing council have been instructed to abide by the new policy.
