The governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has introduced a digital platform for issuing report cards and certificates to pupils enrolled in public schools in the state.
The invention was made possible by the Gates Foundation, according to Dr. Paddy Iyamu, the state commissioner for education, who spoke at the ceremony.
According to the commissioner, the program was created to provide educational diplomas in a digital format. He expressed gratitude to the Gates Foundation for their dedication and cooperation in raising the state’s educational standards.
Mrs. Edith Ebomoyi, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, stated that the digital certificate would aid in record security. Ebomoyi also mentioned that the platform will secure digital access to academic records and cut down on processing delays.
