Mrs. Ngozi Queen Obioma, the previous Head of Service of Abia State, has relinquished her leadership role to Mr. Benson Ojeikere.
Ojeikere, a native of Edo State, was promoted via the state’s civil service and was named the new HoS by Governor Alex Otti last month. In his first speech after assuming office, Ojeikere firmly committed to maintaining the reforms Governor Otti was doing in the Abia State civil service while also promising to put employee welfare first in order to attain the intended outcomes. Ojeikere also called on Abia State employees to be loyal.
In her remarks, the immediate past Head of Service, Mrs Queen Obioma appreciated Governor Alex Otti for the opportunity to serve at the apex of the civil/ public service of the state.
She advised those in positions of authority not to undermine any civil servant but to see themselves as chief servants.
Mrs Obioma attributed her success to the cooperation she received from the entire Abia workforce and prayed for Ojeikere to succeed.
