Nurses Across the Borders, in partnership with the Dreams to Reality Foundation, has provided food items to patients at specific hospitals in Benin City as part of their commitment to meeting the needs of the needy in society.
The two organizations moved from ward to ward delivering food supplies to the patients for their Christmas celebration as part of this philanthropic effort.
The gesture fulfilled the desires of individuals in need, according to Pastor Peters Omoragbon, President of Nurses Across the Borders International, who believes in the biblical proverb that “Blessed are the hands that giveth than the ones that taketh.” “It is fulfilling our pledge and commitment to the needs of the NEEDY in our society, so Nurses Across the Borders in collaboration with the Dreams to Reality Foundation donated food items to patients at designated hospitals in Benin city. Blessed are the hands that giveth than the ones who taketh.”
Ten hospitals were chosen to participate in this Christmas charity project, which aimed to make patients in Benin City, Edo State, smile.
Only patients and their families who were admitted to hospitals in Benin City, Edo State, were apprehended by the two nonprofit groups.
Because many of the hospitalized are the breadwinners of their various families, who should normally be providing for their wards this Yuletide but were unable to do so for no fault of their own, the hospitals that benefited from the generosity were both public and private, and they included both patients and their relatives.
Pastor Omoragbon went on to say that food and ingredients were among the things given out.
Speaking on behalf of both Princess Elizabeth Ebun Okojie, Leader, DRFN, and Pastor Peters Osawaru Omoragbon, Executive Director, Nurses Across the Borders International, Mr. Victor Ogba, South South Coordinator for Nurses Across the Borders International, handed over the items and said, “We invite partners and collaborators. What you make happen for others, God makes it happen for you.”
He stated that the two organizations decided to share food items with patients this season because they felt that the greatest gift God gave humanity was and is Jesus Christ.
“We are here to share the joy of Christmas with you, you are here thinking this is the end of the world, but we have come to let you know that you can still do Christmas like any other person.”
Responding on behalf of other patients, wife of one of the patients thanked the group profusely. She said “Thank you, thank you on behalf of all the patients, God will bless you people in Jesus name, you will not lack, you will grow more and more in Jesus name. We are grateful, God will protect you as you go back in Jesus name, Amen.”
