Biography of Hon. Charity Uyimwen Amayaenvbo

Hon. Charity Uyimwen Amayaenvbo is a dedicated Nigerian politician, philanthropist, and public servant with an impressive background in both the private and public sectors. His leadership and service have consistently demonstrated his commitment to his community and political growth in Nigeria.

Early Life and Family Background

Charity Uyimwen was Born into the family of Pa Amayaenvbo Oviasehi, known for strict discipline and Christian values, he grew up in an environment emphasizing integrity and hard work. His upbringing played a significant role in shaping his character and leadership qualities.

Charity Uyimwen Amayaenvbo Educational Background

Charity completed his primary and secondary education before enrolling at the University of Benin in 2004, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and Public Administration (Second Class Upper Division) in 2008. He excelled academically, receiving multiple awards and being recognized as a University Scholar.

 

In 2009, he obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Benin. He further pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Taxation at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, USA, graduating in 2015. Additionally, he holds an Executive Certificate in Economic Development from the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School of Government (2016). Charity has undertaken various senior management courses in taxation, strategic management, leadership, and public finance programs at Harvard University, USA, London Business School, UK, and Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA. He is also a 2019 AsiaGlobal Fellow at the University of Hong Kong and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

Charity Amayaenvbo Professional Career

Charity’s professional journey spans both the private and public sectors. He began his career in the banking industry, rising to Regional Manager at First Inland Bank PLC, overseeing operations in Edo and Delta States.

In the public sector, he served as Executive Director to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, focusing on local government restructuring and monitoring. During Governor Godwin Obaseki’s first term, he was appointed Executive Director of Income Taxes at the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, contributing to tax reforms and economic improvements in the state.

Political Career and Involvement with APC

Charity has been a loyal member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) since its inception, he  is highly respected within the party at national, state, and local levels. He has played significant roles in party activities, consistently delivering his political units and ward to the APC in every election.

His dedication to the APC reflects his competence, transparency, and loyalty, traits that have earned him respect within the political sphere. His vast experience positions him as a key figure capable of furthering the transformation of the Ovia Federal Constituency.
