The Edo SUBEB has commenced Training and Onboarding for New Teachers
EdotToday reports that the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has announced the commencement of its training and onboarding programme for newly recruited teachers in the state.
According to the board, the exercise is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, October 8, and Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA) in Benin City, Edo State.
SUBEB stated that the training is part of the government’s ongoing effort to strengthen the quality of teaching and learning across public schools in the state. Participants are advised to come with their writing materials and be punctual throughout the two-day exercise.
The onboarding programme is expected to familiarize new teachers with Edo State’s innovative EdoBEST teaching methodology and digital learning tools, aimed at improving classroom delivery and enhancing student outcomes.
The Edo State Government, through SUBEB, continues to demonstrate its commitment to education reform and capacity building for teachers, which remains central to sustaining progress in the state’s basic education system.
