The deputy governor exhorted Nigerians to support one another, encourage forgiveness, and advance peace during this time.
As the Muslim faithful observe Ramadan, Dennis Idahosa, the deputy governor of Edo, urged Sunday for a future based on love, understanding, and solidarity.
Ramadan is a time for introspection, spiritual discipline, and fortifying ties within the community, according to a statement sent by Mr. Idahosa’s top press secretary, Friday Aghedo.
The deputy governor exhorted Nigerians to support one another, encourage forgiveness, and advance peace during this time.
“Together, let us build a future where love and understanding prevail and where the light of hope shines brightly for all,” he said.
Mr. Idahosa urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of Ramadan, such as self-control, almsgiving, and compassion, stating that these ideals might contribute to the development of a more peaceful and inclusive community.
Additionally, he asked Allah to guide and bless everyone keeping Ramadan.
