In order to further accountability, openness, and good governance, the Edo State Council Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has committed to impartial reporting of government policies and initiatives.
In a statement congratulating Governor Monday Okpebholo on his first 100 days in office, the chapel revealed this. The media claimed that the administration has offered visionary governance, purposeful leadership, and an unrelenting dedication to Edo State’s development in a statement jointly approved by chairman Patrick Ese Ochoga and secretary Elder Patrick Ahanor.
According to the statement, the administration’s daring efforts to revitalize the state’s roads and metropolitan areas have greatly enhanced transportation systems and made it easier for people and businesses to move about.
The statement described the government’s Back-to-Farm initiative as a strategic move towards food security, job creation and geared to uplift the economy through agriculture.
It added: “Your inclusive approach to governance and willingness to engage stakeholders in decision-making reflect your dedication to ensure that every Edo citizen benefits from government policies.”
