In a press release released early this morning, the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board revealed the final Hajj fare for the 2025 Hajj to Saudi Arabia.
The press statement states that Edo State intending pilgrims will pay N8,784,085.59 (eight million, seven hundred and eighty-four thousand, eighty-five Naira fifty-nine kobo) for the 2025 Hajj.
The statement reads in parts, “In accordance with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is pleased to announce the Hajj fare for the 2025 season”
“Following approval from the Office of the Vice President, NAHCON has set the Hajj fare for intending pilgrims from Southern states at N8,784,085.59 (eight million, seven hundred and eighty-four thousand, eighty-five Naira fifty-nine kobo)”
“NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, attributes this modest fare to extensive consultations with all stakeholders, including the Presidency and the Forum of State Executive Secretaries. This collaborative effort aimed to ensure inclusivity in the decision-making process”
The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has issued a statement stressing the significance of following timelines and Saudi guidelines throughout the Hajj process, urging all interested pilgrims to register early and make timely payments to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
