EDO STATE: Gov Okpebholo Defends Council Chairmen Suspension (SEE REASON)
On the 7th January, 2025, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo backed the House of Assembly’s decision to suspend 18 of the elected local government chairmen.
The governor, who detailed the events that led to and required the chairmen’s suspension, pointed to their incapacity to justify the N800 million monthly payment to a particular political party’s leaders.
At the Government House in Benin City, Okpebholo made it known to the acting local government chairmen.
