The administration of the 11th Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edoba Omoregie, SAN, has been fully constituted with the election on 20th Dec, 2024 of three Deputy Vice Chancellors by the University’s Senate, presided over for the first time by Professor Omoregie.
The new Deputy Vice Chancellors are:
Professor Christopher Osubor, a professor of Biochemistry, who is DVC, Administration, Professor Victor Igbineweka of the Department of Educational Planning and Administration is DVC, Academic ,while the Deputy Vice Chancellor in the previous administration, Professor Buniyamin Ayinde, a Professor of Pharmacognosy,retains the portfolio of DVC, Ekehuan Campus.
The new Principal Officers are expected to further energise the the Edoba Omoregie led administration which has witnessed no dull moment since inception.
