“Our overall aim is to move sports forward in Edo State. Members of this new board are highly experienced sports persons.”
We are Edo people, we are totally committed to ensuring that Edo State regain her premier position in Nigeria sports.
“We have a lot of talented sportsmen and women in Edo State, our own duty is to provide a conducive environment for sports to grow and harness their potentials”

Meanwhile, Baldwin Bazuaye, expressed dismay on the deplorable state of some facilities, adding that the new board will work assiduously to see that attention is paid to other sporting associations in the State.
He maintained that other sports will be given equal opportunity to excel that the board is not for football alone.
“First and foremost, I like to thank the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for given me such opportunity to serve in this noble commission.
“I also want to thank our amiable chairman, my boss, Hon. Amadi Desmond Enabulele for deeming it wise for me to work with him. As you can see, we have gone round the facilities, we have seen what is on ground, some of them lacked maintenance. The Executive Chairman had said that we would have to seat and talk and then, hit the ground running.”
“As you know all my life, I have been in sports; we are committed to making sure Edo State gets to the top in Nigerian sports.
“Again, we are not going to concentrate on football alone, we have so many other sporting associations in Edo, we won’t neglect any one. We would give equal treatment to all.’
“Again, this new sports commission’s board is made up of talented young people, who have been tested and trusted. We will work together to move the state’s sports commission forward.
“A new era has come in Edo sports, our sportsmen and women must intensify efforts in their individual game. Our mission is to make Edo sports great again.”
