After receiving a distress call on Saturday, the Edo State Police Command rescued two people—including a minor—from a mob that was trying to lynch them. The pair was charged with allegedly taking a man’s masculinity.
SP Moses Yamu, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, revealed this in a message posted on X (previously Twitter). The audience reacted violently when the purported victim stated that his manhood had been stolen, according to witnesses. Sources subsequently disclosed, however, that the “victim” acknowledged testing his manhood and discovering it was operating as intended.
After stepping in, the cops rescued the suspects and placed them under arrest. The accused were released to their relatives for medical care after initial investigations.
The statement read, “This is an unfortunate situation.
“The person alleged to have stolen the manhood and the little boy were rescued to the station amidst the mob trying to lynch them.
“Sources said the ‘victim’ was said to have gone to test his manhood and found that it is ‘working’.”

The Edo State Police Command added that an investigation is underway to trace the alleged victim and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Efforts to trace the alleged victim are in progress, while the ‘suspects’ have been released to their relations for treatment. Let’s say no to jungle justice over unfounded stories, please.”
